BuyerArent Claesz. de man
Buyer FamilyClaesz., Arent
Buyer NotesArent Claesz. was the husband of the late Swaentge Lamberts. On 14 November 1603, Arent Claesz., wijnverlater, from Campen, 25, having lived 20 years in the Pieter Jacobsdwarsstraet, was betrothed to Swaantje Lamberts, widow of Floris Claesz. (illit.) (DTB 411/74). After Swaantje's death, he was again betrothed to Lijsbeth Roeloffs on 12 February 1628 (DTB 617/40). On 12 July 1640, Dirck Gryp brought 580 f. to the Orphan Chamber on behalf of the two children, Evert, 20, and Annetge, 19, of Arent Claesz. wijnverlater, whose mother was Swaentge Lamberts, on account of the inheritance from their grandmother Styntge Lamberts (WK 5073/789). On 31 August 1640, Lysbeth Cretsers, assisted by her present husband Engel van Dulcken, declared before the Orphan Chamber that the children left by Arent Claesz., wine distributor, and Swaentge Lamberts --Anneken, 20, and Evert, 21-- were entitled to 252 f. 4 st. and 138 f. 12 st. respectively from the inheritance of Floris Florisz. Boer, their half brother (WK 5073/789) (Floris Florisz. Boer must have been the son of Floris Claesz.) Lysbeth Cretsers, who was probably the sister of Marten Kretser, attended the baptism of one of his children (R 24697). Engel van Dulcken was a faiencier (plateelbacker). On 30 January 1634, the vroedschap of Amsterdam resolved that Engel van Dulcken and Hendrick Dircx, plateelbackers, should not be allowed to exercise their craft on the Oostermarckt (Van Dillen, Bronnen tot de geschiedenis van het bedrijfsleven 144(1974), p.39).
