BuyerAdam de Reijger aen 't kerckhoff
Buyer FamilyReijger, Adam de
Buyer NotesAdam Reyger was born in Antwerp. He was married to Jannetje Gerrits on 12 April 1594 (Oud Holland 2(1884), p. 67). On 9 December 1597, Adam de Reijger and Jannetge Gerrits had their daughter Machtelt baptized in the presence of their godfather (peet) Cornelis Bartelsz. (DTB 38/613). Cornelis Bartelsz. may be the individual whose goods were sold on 4 June 1620 at the request of his widow (INVNO 835). On 8 June 1606, Adam de Reijger and his wife Jannetje Gerrits, had their daughter Kristeijn baptized in the presence of Jan Dervijgh, Aeltje Willems, and Anneken Struis (DTB 4/167). Aeltje Willems was the daughter of the soap boiler Willem Willemsz. (cited in R 7612). Anneken Struis or Struijs was the wife of Hendrick Jansz. de Reijger of R 24536. She was apparently the daughter of Karstiaen (Christiaen) Struys (who was a witness at the baptism of Neeltje, the daughter of Hans de Keullenaer and Heijtje Jans (R 20697)). Christiaen Struijs (I), born in Antwerp about 1546, was a glass dealer. He became a citizen of Amsterdam on 10 September 1586 and died before 1614 (Gelderblom, Prosopographic Data Base). Adam de Reijger and Jannetge Gerreits had several sons besides, including Hans Adamsz. de Reijger, pastrybaker, 21 years old in 1630, and Gerrit Adamsz. de Reijger, shoemaker, 23 years old in 1624. Since the latter was accompanied, on the occasion of his betrothal with Machtelt Jans, by his uncle Hendrick Jansz. de Reijger, rather than by his father, it is likely that the latter had died by 1624 (DTB 2042, 429/146). By 13 June 1637, Hans Adamsz. had become bode op Wesel (envoy dealing with the interests, including the mail, of citizens of Amsterdam in Wesel). He now acknowledged a debt of several hundred gulden to Claes Hectorsz., cake baker (NA 1185, fol. 119vo, Not. J. de Vos). Another son of Adam de Reijger was named Jacob (R 24489). The coat-of-arms engraver (wapensnijder) Adam Adamsz. , cited in the NOTES to R 24536, was probably also a relative. Hendrick de Reijger, the presumed son of Jan de Reijger, was also a buyer at auction (R 24536). Hans de Reijger, pastryeaker and later gravedigger, married Elisabeth Codde, the sister of the painter Pieter Codde, born about 1604, on 9 April 1630. He was buried on 22 September 1676, she, on 1 April 1678 (Oud Holland 2(1884). p. 67). Elisabeth was the universal legatee of her brother Pieter Codde (ibid., p. 63).

BuyerGosen Jansz. naest de deur
Buyer FamilyJansz., Gosen (Goosen)
Buyer NotesThe buyer may be identical with Goosen Jansz., merchant's envoy (koopmansbode) to Antwerp, who was married to Maritge Hillebrants Paeuw. The bode Goosen Jansz., living on the Turffmarckt, paid a tax of 20 f. in 1631 (Kohier, fol. 238, p. 54). Their daughter Trijntje Goosens, baptized in Amsterdam on 17 January 1610, was betrothed to the sailmaker Jacob Garbrantsz. van Hoorn on 20 August 1630. Jacob Garbrantsz. was buried on 25 August 1633. On 19 July 1635, Trijntgen Goosens, assisted by her father Goosen Jansz., appeared before the Orphan Chamber on behalf of her daughter Trijntgen 2, whose father was Jacob Garbrantsz. van Hooren (WK 5073/789). After her first husband's death, Trijntje remarried with Cornelis Floris, surgeon, from Leiden, on 25 April 1645 (Dudok van Heel in Jaarboek C.B.G. 35(1981), pp. 75-6). Goosen Jansz. may have been the uncle of the tailor Jan van Broeckhuysen of R 20370.
