Buyer NotesMagdaleen Staps was apparently an uitdraagster. Hilde van Wijngaarden suggests that Magdaleen and Neel Staps (of R 27226) were two distinct uitdraagsters (Notes to Scriptie). This hypothesis has been tentatively accepted.

BuyerClaes Pauw hopcoper in Ruslandt (?)
Buyer FamilyPauw, Claes (Anthonisz.)
Buyer NotesOn 10 February 1626, Claes Pauw and Catelijne Vogels had their child Antonij baptized in the N.K. in the presence of Janneken Ewouts (DTB 40/332). On 27 April 1627, Nicolaes Pauw and Catrine de Vogel had their son Antonij baptized in the O.K. in the presence of Wouter Rasta de Ram and Janneken Geurts (DTB 6/172). Claes Pauw was a dealer in hops. He is probably identical with the individual who paid a tax of 15 f. in 1631 and lived at the time on the West side of the Voorburchwal (Kohier, fol. 45v, p. 11). On 8 October 1627, Frans de Block, living in Haarlem, transferred a number of paintings to Niclaes Pau, hopcoper, to discharge a debt of 3900 f. that Block owed Pau (INVNO 499). The paintings were a distinguished lot, including examples by Lange Pier, Esaias van de Velde and Goltzius. On 19 July 1635, Catharina de Vogel, assisted by her guardian Staets Melisz. (of R 20569), appeared before the Orphan Chamber and declared that her three children, Maertgen, 11, Magdalena, 7, and Anthony, 4, whose late father was Nicolas Pauw Anthonisz., hopcoper, were entitled to 9,000 f. for their father's inheritance (WK 5073/789.)

BuyerAeltge Sweers van de vrunden voorsz.
Buyer FamilySweers, Aeltge
Buyer NotesGiven the rarity of the combination Aeltge and Sweers, it likely that the buyer was the woman of that name, said to be from Amsterdam, 28 years old, living on the Orangestraet, who, on 8 April 1633, was betrothed to Abraham Hendricxsz., from Embden, widower of Elsgie Claesdr. (DTB 440/230). The buyer was a relative of the late Gerrit Jansz. Lambrinck, whose goods were sold on this occasion. She lived on the Calverstraet (R 23384).

BuyerGerrit Barthelsz.
Buyer FamilyBarthelsz., Gerrit
Buyer NotesGerrit Barthelsz. was probably the son of the dealer in copperware Barthelt Gerritsz. van der Hart of INVNO 172, who died in 1652. Gerrit Barthelsz. van der Hart both bought silk from and sold to Clementia van den Vondel in 1636 (Jaarboek Amstelodamum 14(1916), p.178. On 1 March 1639, Gerrit Bartelsz. van de Hart, 24, and Jannetgen Michiels, housemaid of Pieter Buttinga (of INVNO 390), made a deposition at the request of Buttinga's mother-in-law Clara Hortensius concerning some scandalous remarks that had been made in an inn in Bolswart concerning Elisabeth Roos (see the TEXT of R 49 of Montias1). In 1611, Clara (or Claartje) Hortensius, widow of Claes Ariaensz. Roos, wine dealer, was betrothed to Frederick Tjercx (DTB 436/64) Frederick Tjercksz. was probably the father of the woodworker Tjerck Fredericksz. who bought a house on the Zeedijck on 17 January 1680 (Maandblad Amstelodamum 45(1958), p. 28). Gerrit Bartelsz. was betrothed on 12 August 1639 (DTB 451/277). He may also be the individual named Gerrit Bartelmeusz. who paid a tax of 40 f. in 1631 and lived on the South side of the Poort on the Dam Sluijs (Kohier, fol. 265v, p. 61). Gerrit Barthelsz. (van der Hart) bought spices at the sale of Hendrick Pietersen on 8 August 1625 (WK 5073/951).

On 22 September 1605 the soapmakers held their banquet (maeltijd) there (ibid. p. 632). De drie Moorianen was an inn as late as 1663 (Bredius, Künstler-inventare, p. 1115.)
