Reynier van Persijn (II), from Alkmaar, 27, no living parents, plate engraver, was betrothed on 18 September to Elisabeth Dircks van Raemburgh, from Gouda (Obreen, Archief 2(1879-1880), p. 164). BuyerVictor de soon [crossed out: de dochter]
Buyer FamilyVictor (de soon)
Buyer NotesVictor Rijckelsma, the son of Gerrit Rijckelsma and Jannetje Verschuijl, was baptized in the O.K. on 23 March 1589 (Van Eeghen in Jaarboek Amstelodamum 81(1989), p. 62). He was 19 at the time of this sale. He studied theology with the assistance of his uncles Jan Verschuijl (of R 29937) and Thomas Marinus (of R 29940), who were also buyers at this sale. He became predikant in Kralingen and then was co-rector of the Latin school in Haarlem from 1617 to 1620. In that latter year he was removed from the position, along with rector Theodor Schrevelius, for his Remonstrant sympathies . He then went to Germany with his brother Jan, who married Sara van der Voort in 1621 (ibid. p. 53).
