BuyerErm Colcksteech
Buyer FamilyColcksteech, Erm (Hendricx)
Buyer NotesThe buyer was an living in the Colcksteech. She is likely to be the uitdraagster named Erm Hendricx whose goods were sold for 382 f., including 5 untitled borden for a total of 1 f. 7 st., on 28 September 1621 (WK 5073/956). If so, she had moved from the Colcksteech. She was living at the time of her death on the Dirck van Assensteech. Hilde van Wijngaarden, in the notes to her Scriptie, also advances this hypothesis. She points out that Erm Henrixdr. in de Colcksteech had some clothing sold at an Orphan Chamber auction on 27 June 1600 and some other goods on 6 February 1602 and in 1603 (with Aert Bollincx). She bought a house on the Colcksteeg on 19 April 1603. Van Wijngaarden found her testament of 27 June 1614, in which she left to her maid Neel Lamberts 100 f. and made various other bequests including one to the poor of the Reformed faith. She was married to the shoemaker Gerrit Jansen. Her maid Neel Lamberts is likely to be the buyer of R 20335 and to be an in her turn.

BuyerGriet Adriaens
Buyer FamilyAdriaens (Ariaens), Griet (Giert)
Buyer NotesOn 15 March 1603, the goods left by Giert Ariaens, in haer leven uijtdraechster, were sold by the Orphan Chamber (INVNO 1107). They amounted to 574 f. 5 st., including 3 f. 19 st. in paintings. In addition, there were goods valued at 1884 f. 15 st. which were sold on 22 March of the same year that were said to belong Piet Amen (?), who was apparently related to Griet Ariaens. In this latter sale, the only buyer named was Cent Jacobsz. Coster, voor Cornelis Ariaens (WK 5073/789, also discussed in Hilde van Wijngaarden, notes to Scriptie on Barber Jacobs en andere uijtdraagsters, 1994). The total value of the art goods in the two sales was 60 f. 15 st. On Cent Jacobsz., see R 35950. Cornelis Ariaensz., who was perhaps a younger brother (of minor age) of Griet Adriaens, may be identical with Cornelis Ariaensz. Styfe Cas of R 20816.

BuyerGriet Louris
Buyer FamilyLouris, Griet
Buyer NotesThe buyer was an uitdraagster, as would appear from the inventory of Dieuwer Pieters of 13 April 1602 (INVNO 800). In March 1598, goods were sold by the Orphan Chamber at the request of Griet Louris int Paert met bellen (Hilde van Wijngaarden, notes to Sciptie). She may thus be identical with the buyer of R 31616, who was said to be Giert int Paert met de Bellen (Griet and Giert are frequently confused).
