BuyerFelix voors. [van der Hoeven van den vrunden]
Buyer FamilyHoeven, Felix van der
Buyer NotesThe buyer was the brother of the painter Valerius van der Hove and of the silversmith Alexander van der Hoeve (of R 20019 and R 20986). He was the father or the uncle of Govert van der Hoeve (of R 22969), whom he assisted on the occasion of his marriage on 17 August 1623. Felix van der Hoeve may have been a silversmith. In 1631, he was living on the East side of the Nes when he paid a tax of 20 f. (Kohier, fol. 210vo, p. 48). On 6 March 1634, he and Dr. (Jacobus) Barra, doctor in medicine (cited in the NOTES of R 39404), were said to be the guardians of Maria van Riemen (NA 409, film 4787, Not. Jacob and Nicolaes Jacobsz.) Jean Bara (Barra), who may have been Jacobus's brother, was married to Anne (Tanneken) Moerenturffs (of INVNO 777), the mother of Felix van der Hoeve, the buyer of the present lot. Dr. Barra was presumably related to Jan Barra, at whose request the sale was made.
Buyer RelationOther relative by marriage, guardian or undetermined
