BuyerWouter Woutersz.
Buyer FamilyWoutersz., Wouter
Buyer NotesOn 24 June 1589, Wouter Woutersz., from ter Gouda, 22 years old, living on the Zeedijck, at the house of Hendrick Jansz., was betrothed to Aeff Jans, 23, assisted by her mother Nies Heynricks (DTB 405/165). On 19 April 1590, Wouter Woutersz., koopman, and his wife Aeff Jans had their son Jan baptized in the O.K. (DTB 2/50). A cloth dealer of that name paid a tax of 5 f. in 1585 (Van Dillen, Amsterdam in 1585, p. 86 and p. 121). It is not clear whether Wouter Woutersz., broker, who was married to Maritgen Pieters, with whom he had two children, and was still living on 8 September 1626, is identical with the buyer (WK 5073/789). On the same date, Wouter Woutersz. and Lucas Jacobsz. house carpenter (of R 19521), as next relatives of Claesgen, 10, and Jannetgen, 8, the children left by Willempgen Wouters, whose father was Jan Claesz., merchant, appeared before the Orphan Chamber on their behalf (WK 5073/789).
