BuyerGraeff
Buyer FamilyGraeff (Gerrit Hendricksz.)
Buyer NotesThe identification of the Graeff is due to I. van Eeghen (Amstelodamum maandblad 56(1969), pp. 107-8). He migrated from Zutphen to Amsterdam, as a widower, where he settled in 1589. He remarried with Janneken Thijsen in that year. He lived on the Luysmerckt next to the Sint Jorisstraet. He was the father of the Graeffin (Heynrickgen Gerrits) of R 20362. He was an oudecleercoper (dealer in used clothing) was well as uitdraaster, as was his daughter. He had his testament drawn up on 28 April 1615 (I. van Eeghen, cited by Hilde van Wijngaarden in notes to Scriptie). He is not likely to be identical with Gerrit Hendricksz. of R 28323.
