Buyer FamilyDiemen, Allert (Ellert) van (de jonge) (II)
Buyer NotesOn 4 January 1606, Ellert van Diemen II, the uncle of the daughter of Gerrit Heyndricx, baker, was appointed guardian over this child, together with her neven Hendrick Dircxsz. Leeuwen and Jacob Jacobsz. Bontenos (WK 5073/513, fol. 125). Jacob Jacobsz. Bontenos was the brother-in-law of Maritje Hendricks, the wife of Jeronimus Gaillart of R 21403. On 16 September 1615, Ellert van Diemen, widower of Trijn Cornelisdr., living in the St. Jorishoft, was betrothed to Trijntgen Gysberts, widow of Willem Fransz. (22 years a widow !) (DTB 667/204). Ellert van Diemen, living in the Calverstraet, in 't Huys van Borgongie, bought lots for 3 f. in the Haarlem lottery of 1606 (GAA 69/38 F 564). He may be identical with the individual of the same name, living op het Water in het Preckstoel, who also bought lots in this lottery. Ellert van Diemen de jonge was the son of Ellert van Diemen de oude, who was buried on 28 August 1577, and of Aertgen Jaspersdr. Appelman, who remarried with Simon Jansz. in de Bourgoigne (hence the address of 1606) after his death. Allard van Diemen de oude was vaandrig (flagbearer) in a company of schutters in 1573 (Oud Holland, 4(1885), p. 291). Elbert van Diemen may have been the son of Allert van Diemen II. He was married to Clara Croocken, with whom he passed his testament on 23 December 1636 (NA 911, Not. Eyloff).
