BuyerHester Bultsingh de suster
Buyer FamilyBultsingh (Bulsinck), Hester (I)
Buyer NotesIn 1606, Hester Bultsingh (I), living across the Dirck van Hasseltsbrugh in the Galeisteeg, bought lots for 12 st. in the Haarlem lottery (GAA 64/48 F 522). She was the sister of the late Cathalintgen Bultsingh. On 20 September 1620, Fransoijs Reijniersz. and Hesterke Bulsincx had their son Reijnier baptized in the O.K. in the presence of Fransoijs Provoost and Heinrik Bulsincx (DTB 5/328.) Francoijs Reijniersz. paid a tax of 15 f. in 1631, at which time he was living on the Cingel (Kohier fol. 13vo, p.5). On 17 April 1642, Johannes de Grebber, from Amsterdam, goldsmith, living in the Nes, 23 years old, was betrothed to Hester Bulsinck (II), 21, assisted by her mother Hester Bulsinck (DTB 457/350). Hester Bulsinck II married Jan de Grebber. Their daughter Maria de Grebber married David van Dalen, widower of Marritje Jongeboer (Jaarboek C.B.G. 35(1981), p. 81) It is not known how the individuals in the following document are related to Cathalina and Hester Bultsingh. On (?) January 1634, Elbert Bulsinc, the son of majority age of Daniel Bulsinc, acknowledged having received 600 f. from his mother Mayken Roeffs, which she owed him from the inheritance of his father in the Orphan Chamber, plus 100 f. from Adriaen Bulsinc. He is said to be the nephew of Phillips de Flines and of David Roeloffs, who were also present (NA 843, Not. Hoogeboom). Mayken Roeffs and David Roeloffsz. were, repectively, the sister and brother of Anna Roeffs (1563-1639), the second wife of Philips de Flines I of R 25445. Daniel Bul(t)sinck (cited in the NOTES to R 25311) was a goldsmith who, around the turn of the 17th century, was in contact with Hans Thijsz. I of INVNO 690 (Gelderblom, Zuid-Nederlandse kooplieden, p. 136).

BuyerRogier vande Herburch inde Nieuwest vern (?) regenb[urgh ?]
Buyer FamilyHerburch (Herbrugge), Rogier van de
Buyer NotesOn 19 December 1637, Rogier van der Herbrugge, from Leyden, factoor (factor or representative of a firm), 24 years old, living in the Princegracht, assisted by his mother Jannetgen Pieters, was betrothed to Femmetje Elbers, from Itterson, living in the Spinhuissteech (DTB 447/35). On 17 October 1638, the couple had their daughter Rebecca baptized in the N.K. in the presence of Abraham van der Herberg (DTB 42/107). On 9 May 1638, Rogier van Herbrugge, 24, declared at the request of Jan Andriesz. Meerbeeck that he had worked for Laurens Petkin from 1633 to 1637 and that, when Petkin had died he had copied his accounts for linens (lijwaten) purchased, which had been sent for bleaching to Haarlem. Petkin was in company with Magdalena Stockmans (the widow of Isaack van der Voort cited in the NOTES to R 32595) (NA 867, fol. 148vo-149, Not. van Zwieten). On Jan Andriesz. Meerbeeck, see also the TEXT to R 102 and R 402 of Montias1 and the NOTES to R 36738. In a deposition dated 29 August 1634, Laurens Petkin, 40(?), and Bartolomeus Segers (cited in R 32347), 67, testified at the request of Paulus Mijs (or Nuijs?), merchant and envoy for Delft, about letters that were supposed to have been sent to Delft via the Delft trekschuiten (horse-drawn barges) (NA 843, fol. 669, Not. Hoogeboom).
