BuyerPieter Jansz. Blauwenhelm de voogt
Buyer FamilyBlauwenhelm (Blauwenhaen, Blauhaen), Pieter Jansz.
Buyer NotesOn 24 February 1615, Pieter Jansz. Blauhaen, 22, living in the Vogelsteech, assisted by his father Jan Jansz., was betrothed to Dirckjen Jans, 24, living on the O.Z. Voorburgwal, assisted by her mother Tietgen Gysberts (DTB 419/7). Tietgen Gysberts, who was married to Jan Jacobsz. Fortuyn, appears to be identical with the buyer of R 27757. Dirckjen Jans was thus the sister of Jacob Jansz. Fortuyn of R 29635. On 1 March 1622, Pieter Jansz. Blaeuwehaen and Dirckjen Jans had their daughter Tietjen baptized in the O.K. in the presence of Grietjen Dirx and Tietjen Ghysberts (DTB 6/7). He was present at the baptism of Pieter, the son of Johannes Blauwenhaen and the grandson of Jan Jansz. in April 1648 (R 36449). Pieter Jansz. Blauwenhaan was a regent of the Krankzinnige Huis in 1625 (Wagenaar, Amsterdam, vol. 2, p. 311) and a director of the W.I.C. in 1632 (Extracts from Notulen of W.I.C. in Algemeen Rijksarchief). In 1635, he was severely reprimanded by the kerkeraad of one of the Reformed churches in Amsterdam, of which he was a member, apparently for allowing the marriage of his son with Ida van Dueren, the daughter of Evert van Dueren and Helena Oliviers, to be registered at the town hall, instead of the Reformed church (Roodenburg, Onder censuur, p. 179). The children of Pieter Jansz. Blauwenhaen paid a tax of 160 f., at which time he (or they) lived on the O.Z. Voorburchwal, as Pieter Jansz. did at the time of his betrothal in 1615 (Kohier, fol. 174vo, p. 40). On 17 January 1639, Isaack van Harsbeeck, 49, and Pauwels van Harsbeeck, 44, declared at the request of Pieter Jansz. Blauwenhaen, likewise merchant, that a certain candlemaker had said that certain candles he had bought from Jacques Musch, keurmeester, were of poor quality (NA 1186, fol. 118vo.) Musch
