Joseph Pulitzer was a publisher (Pulitzer Publishing Co) and art collector Together with his second wife Emily Rauh (m. 1973), he formed a modern-art collection and was a patron of both Harvard's Fogg and the St. Louis Art Museum. Emily Rauh and Joseph Pulitzer III collection included works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Constantin Brancusi mingle with those of a more immediate generation: Ellsworth Kelly, Richard Serra and Roy Lichtenstein.
