history Samuel Dennis Warren was a collector and paper manufacture. Warren and his wife, Susan Cornelia (1825-1911), collected paintings, pastels, and water colors while home and traveling abroad.

American, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Flemish and British artists are represented in the collection.
