Ratton was a Medieval, African, and “Primitive” art expert, dealer, and owner of Galerie Charles Ratton in Paris (now known as Galerie Charles Ratton-Guy Ladrière). The Galerie Charles Ratton is known for its association with surrealists and the 1936, Exposition Surréaliste d’Objèts, which included work by Duchamp, Dali, Dora Maar, Meret Oppenheim, Hans Bellmer, Breton, Magritte, Man Ray, Marcel Jean, and Claude Cahun. |
