Charles Henry Marshall, Jr. was an art collector, businessman and merchant (Charles H. Marshall and Co.). Marshall served as Dock Commissioner appointed by Mayor Abraham Hewitt. He had holdings in transatlantic steamship companies and in the Liverpool, London and Globe Insurance Companies. In addition to fine art, Marshall’s collection included Sevres vases, watches, miniatures and various antiquities. |
