The bulk of Taylor’s collection was French Impressionist art, her collection included works by, among others, Pablo Picasso, Maurice Utrillo, Edgar Degas, Georges Rouault, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt, Amedeo Modigliani, Maurice de Vlaminck, Vincent van Gogh, Frans Hals and Andy Warhol.

Both her father, Francis Taylor (1897–1968), and great-uncle, Stephen "Howard" Young (1878–1972), were art dealers.
