Ambrose Lanfear Norrie was an art collector and propriƩtaire. Norrie discovered what later became "the Norrie Mine" in Ironwood, Michigan. Norrie was a member of the Metropolitan, Union, and Calumet Clubs. He married Ethel Barbey in 1894, and they had three children: Lanfear Barbey Norrie, 1896-, Emily R. Norrie, 1897- (aka Rita Norrie Walls, Geneva, Switzerland); and Valerie Norrie (1904-), aka Valerie Norrie Possodi Borgo, Paris, France. |
