Buyer Notes | On 6 April 1639, Outgert Claesz. and Pieter Outgert, merchants, insinuated Maerten van Heuvel concerning the protracted delivery of gilded leather (Van Dillen, Bronnen tot de geschiedenis van het bedrijfsleven 144(1974), p.225). On 11 November 1639, Pieter Outgert signed a contract with Jean Barbe to exploit mineral alum in Denmark (Van Dillen, op.cit. pp. 247-9). Outgert Claesz. seems to have been the brother of Pieter Outgert (Niclaessoon). Pieter Outgert signed the Remonstrant petition of 1628, as did Marten van Heuvel. Together with Outgert Claesz., he represented Jan de Wouwer (of R 23231), living in Hamburg in 1640 (procuration dated 2 April 1640, NA 421). Outgert Claesz. sold a house by procuration in Campen on 24 December 1636 (NA 414A, fol. 563). On 19 June 1638, Outger Claesz., merchant, as husband of Helena van Buren, acknoledged for him and his heirs that the honorable Anna Floris van de Nieupoort, his stepmother, had transferred to him, to his full satisfaction, all the goods accruing to his wife from the inheritance from his father of Hendrick van Buren and as a result of the death of their brothers and sisters. He thanked his stepmother for the transfer (NA 1498). On 10 September 1647, Outgert Claesz., married to Helena van Buijren, and Helena van Buijren named Adriaen van Tol, notary in The Hague, to sell 12 morgen 5 hond and 10 roe of land in Monster ambacht, which they had inherited from Hester van Buijren, widow and custodian of the estate of Pieter Outgers to Anna van Nieupoort, widow of Hendrick van Buijren, silk cloth dealer, and Hendrick van Buijren, advocate before the Court of Holland, their mother and brother respectively (ONA 6037 # 1050, as kindly communicated by Gerard Eendenburg, as were the following documents). On 3 April 1648, Outgert Claesz. and Helena van Buijren sold a little more than 4 morgen of pasture land to the guardians of Joncker Aelbert Snouckaert, son of Martin Snoekaert (RA Monster 25 # 5240 fol. 220v). On 9 May 1648, Outgert Claesz., merchant in Amsterdam, for himself and his wife, sold various pieces of land which they had inherited from Hendrick van Buijren, father of Helena van Buijren, to Cornelis Musch, ridder, etc. for f. 1980: 6:-- (RA Monster 25 # 5243). On Cornelis Musch, griffier, suspected of having accepted bribes from foreign powers, see Van Dillen, Van rijkdom en regenten, 1970, p.289 and Elias, Vroedschap van Amsterdam, p. 198. On 9 May 1648, Helena van Buijren sold to Mr. Johan Copes patrimonial pasture land belonging to the widow and heirs of Pieter Outgert Claesz. for 3,000 f. (RA Monster 25 # 5244, fol. 227v.) On On 7 March 1649, Hester van Bueren, living in Amsterdam, widow of Pieter Outgersz. Nicolaessoon, on the basis of a testament passed before Not. Lamberti, assisted by Hendrick van Buijren, advocate before the Court of Holland, her brother, sold various land in Monster ambacht for f. 9,317:18: 6 (RA Monster 25 # 5263 fol. 260). On 20 October 1650, Anna van Nijepoort, widow of Hendrick van Buijren, assisted by sr. Outgert Claesz., her son-in-law (behuwde soon), sold Andries Jacobsz. van Wouw 4 morgen 547 roods of pasture land (RA Monster 26 # 5527 fol. 29v.) | |
