CommentaryHans Dircx, borduijrwercker (embroiderer) was one of the schutters in the company of Pieter Adriaensz. Raap portrayed in 1603. The painting hung in the Handboogdoelen (Oud Holland 15(1897), p. 134). The couple may have died from the plague which raged in 1603.
