Postscript: Aldus geinventariseert ende beschreven ten overstaen van Jacob Valckenier ende Adriaen Braems als by de heeren commissarissen daertoe gecommitteert, den 19 January 1645.
CommentaryOn 14 January 1627, Michel Sillekens, 30, wine dealer, from Hommersen (in Frisia), assisted by Heijndrick van Vochelen, his former master, was betrothed to Agnieta van Glasbeeck, from Cologne, 34, no living parents, assisted by her sister Margriet van Glasbeeck (DTB 432/13). On 27 January 1628, Michiel Sillekens had their son Wilhelmij baptized in the O.K. in the presence of Lucas van Valckenburch (of R 36238), Jan Munter (of R 31920 ?), and Christijntgen Michiels (DTB 9/196). The couple had their son Michgel baptized in the N.K. on 19 July 1633 in the presence of Pieter Parijs (DTB 41/262). Michgel (Michiel) Sillekens II, who died about 1670, had his inventory drawn up on 10 January 1671 (INVNO 173). On 3 January 1640, Michiel Sillekens, wine dealer, and Jan Molengraef stood surety for Dirck Thomasz. Molengraef, surgeon, of INVNO 317, in connection with the inheritance due by Dirck Molengraef to his children (see the TEXT of R 235 of Montias1). On Adriaen Brems, a buyer at auction, who was appointed by the commissaries of the Desolate Boedelskamer to oversee the present inventory, see R 25313 of Montias2. To judge by the works of art in the inventory (portraits of the King of Spain and of the Infant Cardinal), Michiel Silken was Roman Catholic.
