Introduction	Inventaris van de meubilen ende huijsraedt bevonden in den boedel van Pieter van Rhijn. Postscript: Aldus geinventariseert ende beschreven den 2en april 1676 ende den 15en april des selven jaer getauxeert door Susanneken Anthonis geswooren schatser. Second postscript: Wert toegestaen aen Constantia ende Maria Bessels de bovenstaende goederen in minderingen van her schult to mogen naer haer nemen tegen de somme van 1250 f. Act den 16 september 1682.
Commentary	Pieter van Rhijn II was the son of that name of Pieter Jacobsz. van Rijn of R 27395 of Montias2. He married Elisabeth Bessels, daughter of Adam Bessels (of R 35041 of Montias2) on 16 January 1634. Constantia and Maria Bessels, cited in the INTRO, were probably sisters of Elisabeth Bessels. He was master auctioneer for ship's equipment of the Admiralty (Nederlandsche Leeuw 50(1932), col. 135). Pieter van Rhijn II may have been the brother or the father of Margaretha van Rhijn, the wife of the painter Philips Coningh, one of whose paintings, attributed to P. Koningh, was recorded in the present inventory. He may have been the uncle or the granduncle of the grandchildren of Margaretha van Rhijn (see the NOTES to R 27935 of Montias2).
