IntroductionOp den 13-en Julij anno 1623 zijn vercocht de naergelate goederen van doctor Goswijnus van der Hal ende Hendrickgen Hendricx zijne huijsvrouw.
CommentaryOn 6 March 1597, the Orphan Chamber named Broer Pauwelsz. as guardian over Hendrickge Heyndricx, the daughter left by Heyndrick Symonsz. Meebael of R 30479 (WK 5073/513). On 1 March 1608, Mr. Cornelis Hollesloot, advocaet, was named by the Orphan Chamber as curator over the goods inherited by Heyndrickgen Heyndrix, the daughter left by Heyndrick Symonsz. Meebael, from her godmother Cunera Symonsdr. (WK 5073/513, fol. 128). On 10 August 1612, Goswinus van der Hall, from Leyden, 26, living in Leyden, assisted by his uncle Hendrick Egbertsz. and his mother Elisabeth Goosens, was betrothed to Hendrickje Mebael, 20, living on the O.Z. Voorburgwal, assisted by Lysbeth Budents (DTB 667/73). Elisabeth Goosens, the mother of Goswin van der Hal, was the sister of Aeltgen Goosens, who was married to Jochem van Dien (of R 36114 of Montias2). After the death of Hendrick Egbertsz. Coninck (the uncle of Goswinus van der Hal), Jochem van Dien was named guardian over his son Jan Hendricksz. Coninck (WK 5073/513, fol. 34vo.) Goosen van der Hal was buried on 12 January 1623 (DTB 1053/361). In December 1612, Hendrickje Hendricks made a provision in her will leaving her husband Goswinus van de Hael, doctor in medicine, 3000 f. in case he should survive her (NAA 39, fol. 181). The four children of Gosvinis van Halen, under the care of the Orphan Chamber, paid a tax of 125 f. in 1631 (Kohier, fol. 315vo., p. 72). In an act of 25 December 1631, Focke Poppe, husband and guardian of Lysbet Andries, was said to be the only guardian of the children of Dr. Goswinus van der Hal (NA 843, fol. 460, Not. Hoogeboom).
