Commentary	On 28 July 1615, the masters of the Orphan Chamber appointed Dirck Wolphertsz. (Persijn?) and Abraham Anthonisz. (of R 20033 of Montias2) as guardians over the children of Jan Cornelisz. van Medenblick (WK 5073/513, fol. 152vo.) They were still guardians of the children in May 1627 (WK 5073/1192). On 12 September 1615, Trijn Jans van Medemblik, from Maestrecht, widow of Jan van Medemblik (5 years), was betrothed to Adriaen Adriaensz., sailor (varentgesel), 34. Both were illiterate (DTB 419/213). After her death, her goods sold on October 2nd 1619 (the date of this sale). They were said to have brought 1880 f. 18 st. This was just a little over the sum reported above (1965 f. 2 st.) minus the 5 percent charge of the Orphan Chamber (WK 5073/1192). She was one of the four children left by Jan van Medemblick, the others being Jan, Gierten, and Thonis Jansz. On 12 May 1627, Abraham Anthonisz. and Dirck Wolphertsz., as administrators over the children left by Jan van Medemblick, the mother of the children being Trijn Jans, turned in an accounting of the estate (WK 5073/1192).
