Commentary | On 26 December 1586, Harmen Olthof, hopman (captain), and Trijn Scheepmans, had their child Heijndrick baptized in the presence of Jannetgen Feijnssen (DTB 1/312). On 30 November 1624, the Orphan Chamber had an inventory taken of the goods left by Catharina Schopmans, widow of Herman Olthoff, capiteyn (WK 5073/936, INVNO 6071). On 9 July 1625, Jan Adriaensz. Claeuw, Cornelis Zegersz., and Roeloff de Vry appeared before the Orphan Chamber as testamentary executors of Catherina Scheepman, wife of Herman Olthoff, and brought in a number of assets left by Catherine Scheepmans for the benefit of Lambert, 27, Hans 24, and Herman 21, the children of Aefgen Schepmans, whose father was Hessel Brouwer. A sum of 1675 f. (almost exactly the sum inscribed above) accrued to the children from the sale of the estate (WK 5073/789). Trijn Schopmans assisted Catalijna van Hogendorp upon her betrothal to Isaack van Eijndhoven of R 24960. |
