Introduction	Op den 30e may 1624 zyn vercocht de naergelate goederen van Doctor Jan Roos.
Commentary	Doctor Jan Roos may be identical with Jan Adriaensz. Roos who was betrothed to Joanne van Stompwijck, widow of Pieter Tasman, on 23 August 1612. He was 25 years old. He was assisted by his father Adriaen Cornelisz. and she by her father Pieter van Stampwijck (DTB 667/36). Pieter van Stampwijck invested 1200 f. in the original subscription for V.O.C. shares (Van Dillen, Het oudste aandeelhoudersregister, p. 211). Jacob Jansz. Roos who sold the goods belonging to Betge Teunis on 18 April 1637, may have been the son of Dr. Jan Roos (INVNO 1078).
