Introduction	Op ten 23 february 1609 zyn ten versoecke van de heeren weesmeesteren vercoft de naervolgende schilderyen [crossed out: de naervolgende goederen]. Postscript: Den 10en april syn de boven geschreven penneijnghen betaelt aende weduwe van [left blank]. The address on the Sleutelsbrugge confirms that the goods sold were the paintings and other atelier stock belonging to the painter and art dealer Hans van de Velde (Briels, Vlaamse schilders, 1997, p. 397).
Commentary	The painter and art dealer Hans van de Velde was born in Antwerp around 1552, became a citizen of Amsterdam in 1586, was married to Cathalyn van Schoor, and was buried on 5 January 1609. He was the father of Esaias van de Velde and the brother of Anthony van de Velde (of R 29027). See also the notes to R 30502 of Montias2.
