Commentary	Govert Govertsz., a buyer at the auction of Gillis van Coninxloo (R 30494), was the knecht of the latter, which probably meant that he was a painter working for him. Pieter Segersz. was the father of Pieter Lastman. He had formerly been bode of the Orphan Chamber but had been removed from this function, qua Roman Catholic, after the alteration in 1578.
