Edward Perry Warren came from a paper making family in Waltham, Massachusetts, graduated from Harvard and then moved to an Oxford and purchased Lewes House.
Warren collected ancient art and did much of the purchasing for the Museum of Fine Art, Boston, where his brother chaired the board of trustees.
