Robert Weeks De Forest was an art dealer, collector, lawyer, and philanthropist. He was married to Emily Johnston De Forest (1851-1942). De Forest
De Forest lent the following work to the Hudson-Fulton Celebration, 1909:
Portrait of a lady, by Bartholemeus vd Helst (location unknown today)
Portrait of Ceracchi (Italian sculptor born 1760 and came to America 1791, made busts of Washington, Hamilton, and others.
