Philip Randolph Institute, the American Friends Service Committee, the Socialist Party, and the War Resisters League. In addition to collecting 15th-, 16th- and 17th-century religious art and icons, Rustin collected African, Asian and other European art. Among his possessions were several balusters he recovered from the McKim, Mead & White's old Pennsylvania Station.
