Owned and operated by Virginia Dwan, the Dwan Gallery was located in both New York and Los Angeles (Los Angles gallery was closed in 1967).
The gallery commissioned and exhibited many post-minimalist, earthwork and conceptual artists including, among others, Robert Smithson, Michael Heizer, and Dennis Oppenheim.
