John Witt Randall was a print and drawings collector whose collection included work by, among others, Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Adrian Ludwig Richter, Canaletto, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Franz Kobell, Adrian Zingg and Henry Hitchings.
His collection was left to Harvard after his death via his sister Belinda Lull Randall (1816–1897) he was in the Harvard’s 1834 graduating class.
Randall was a great-grandson of Samuel Adams, the American Revolutionary patriot.
