Baron Joseph Duveen was an art dealer and the president of the firm Duveen Brothers. He was the son and nephew of the founders of the Duveen Brothers firm Joel Joseph and Henry Duveen respectively and took over the business after their deaths.

Baron Joseph Duveen was the First Baron of Millbank 1933 (Knighted 1919) and created a baronet 1926.

Duveen collaborated with the critic and scholar Bernard Berenson and aided, among others, Henry Clay Frick, J. Paul Getty, William Randolph Hearst, Henry E. Huntington, J.P. Morgan, Samuel H. Kress, Andrew Mellon and John D. Rockefeller in forming their collections.

Duveen donated a new building to the Tate to house collection of modern and foreign paintings, a new gallery for early Italian painting to the National gallery, and a wing for the Elgin marbles at the British Museum.
