Woodner was a collector, architect and real estate developer who amassed a collection of 1,000 old masters, 19th- and 20th-century drawings.
The Woodner collection includes works by Raphael, Tiepolo, Filippino Lippi, Andrea del Sarto, Correggio, Durer, Holbein, Goya and Rembrandt; it includes extremely rare drawings by Botticelli and Cellini as well as works by such later figures as Redon, Cezanne, Degas and Picasso.
