Collector, businessman and heir to the Florsheim Shoe Company, Chicago, IL.
His first wife was artist and collector Claire Zeisler, they divorced in 1943.
His second wife, Sarabel Florsheim, was also a collector in addition to being a philanthropist. Her collection was sold via Sotheby's Auction House in 2004. Highlights included an 1880 Seine landscape by Claude Monet, "La Route de Vetheuil," as well as works by Edgar Degas, Georges Braque, Paul Klee, and Henri Matisse.
