historical notes Steven Cohen is a hedge fund manager (founder of SAC Capital Advisors) and an art collector. Cohen a trustee of both Brown University and the Robin Hood Foundation.

The Cohen collection includes work by, among others, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Henri Mattisse, Edvard Munch, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Amedeo Modigliani, Robert Rauschenberg, Lucian Freud, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Cindy Sherman, Richard Prince, Tim Hawkinson, Marlene Dumas, Lisa Yuskavage, John Currin and Damien Hirst.


Cohen has been married twice; Alexandra “Alex” Cohen, nee Alexandra Garcia, is his second wife (married in 1992) and his first wife was Patricia Cohen (1952-) who he married in 1979 and divorced in 1989.
