Vera G. List was a collector and philanthropist. She and her husband, Albert A. List, built art centers at several institutions, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Brown University. and Swarthmore College.
Other major beneficiaries included the Metropolitan Opera, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the Jewish Museum.
