Collector, manufacturer, businessman, dairy cattle breeder, president of Jefferson Medical College, a member of the Philadelphia art jury and a director of the Art Alliance. He belonged to the Union League, University, Manufacturers, Bankers, Downtown, and Midday Clubs.
Johnson collected autograph letters, prints,photographs and drawings of American presidents. He was married twice; his first wife Elizabeth T Reeves, died in 1908, and he was survived by his second, Mrs. Leah Goff Johnson (d. 1944). |
