Mrs. Paul, the former Josephine Holt Perfect, was a collector, financier, shipping executive, philanthropist and sportswoman.
Paul was the president of A.M. Kidder & Co. and a past president of American Export Lines (chairman 1955-1960).
Paul was married twice; Her first husband, was Charles Ulrick Bay (d.1955), a onetime Ambassador to Morway and president of Kidder & Co., and her second husband, was Miachael Paul, an independent oil operator and investment banker.
