historical notes Anne Gerber, nee Anne Convisar, was a Seattle art collector, patron and community activist.

She and her husband, Sidney Gerber (d. 1965), formed a collection of Native American Art from the Northwest coast which is housed at the Burke Museum.

After Sidney’s death, Anne continued to collect art by American and European avant-garde, minimal and conceptual art. The collection included work by, among others, Wassily Kandinsky, Fernand Léger, Max Beckman, William deKooning, Marc Chagall, and Paul Klee.
