Marion Deering McCormick was a philanthropist, art collector, and Guernsey cattle breeder.
McCormick collected jewelry and works of art by old masters. She was a philanthropist, a benefactor of the Chicago Art Institute, and served as president of the Antiquarian Society of the Art Institute of Chicago.
She was a granddaughter of the founder of Deering Harvester Company, now known as the International Harvester company, William Deering, a cousin by marriage of Robert "Bertie" McCormick (1880–1955). Her husband Chauncey McCormick (1884–1954) served as president of the Chicago Art Institute. They had three sons: Charles Deering McCormick (1917–2006), Brooks McCormick (1917–2006), and Rogers McCormick (1917–2006).
