Although the collection varies it concentrates on twentieth-century Realist Regionalism of the Midwest.
Jim and Virginia Moffett began collecting art from Regional Realist's in 1990.
The Moffett collection includes work by well known Regional Realists such as Hart Benton, Grant Wood, and John Steuart Curry in addition to lesser known artists such as William Henry Bancroft, Harvey Otis Young, Sven Birger Sandzén, Ila Mae McAfee, John Edwards Thompson, Willard J. Page, Eve Drewelowe, Charles Ragland Bunnell, Paul Kauver Smith, Watson Bidwell, Boardman Robinson, Walter Blakelock Wilson, Archie Leroy Misick, and David Spivak. The collection features oils, watercolors, prints, pastels, drawings, and sculptures.
