Collector, businessman, and partner in the accounting in and insurance firm Askin, Weber & Reed, Inc., Henry M Reed, served on the Montclair Art Museum’s Board and Art Committee from 1985 to 1990.
He donated the Morgan Russell Archives and Collection to the Montclair Museum in 1985. Reed’s art collection included work by Morgan Russell, Arthur Burdett, Frost Jr., Bruce, and Andrew Dasburg.
