Dean Valentine, former president of both Disney TV and UPN, starting collecting contemporary art in the mid-1990s. He collects artists such as Joyce Pensato, Sanya Kantarovsky, Andrea Zittle, and Kurt Kauper. In 2019, he co-founded the Los Angeles–based Felix Art in concert with the Morán brothers, Al and Mills, of West Hollywood’s Morán Morán Gallery. Valentine and his wife, Ann Adelson, have donated more than 600 artworks over the years, to the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and the Hammer Museum, among others. |
