historical notes Kathryn ("Kitty") Bache Miller was an art collector, philanthropist, daughter of the investment banker Jules S Bache, and wife of writer, actor and Broadway and London producer, Gilbert Heron Miller (1884-1970).

Her collection was sold via Christie's in 1980. Her collection included work by Renoir, Dufy, and Goya.
