Collected work by the Barbizon School.
Founded the New York firm of F. Blumenthal & Co., in 1875, a noted manufacturer of fine kid leathers. In 1890 the Blumenthal firm was established in Wilmington and incorporated in 1909. Served as president of F. Blumenthal & Co.
Blumenthal was made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor for his interest in French arts.
