Edith Shepard Fabbri was a collector, the great-granddaughter of "Commodore" Cornelius Vanderbilt, and the granddaughter of William H. Vanderbilt.
She was well traveled and collected Italian Renaissance and Baroque furnishings and architectural fragments.
