New York Supreme Court Judge and collector of Dutch colonial furniture. Belonged to the University, Century, Union, Reform, Manhattan and Democratic clubs. He was married in 1870 to Miss Isabella Lawrence daughter of Richard Lawrence a prominent East Indian merchant.
