Robert Livingston Cutting was an art collector and lawyer.
Cutting's collection sold at an auction at the Fifth Avenue Galleries, March 22, 1892. The collection included Bouguereau's "Italian Mother and Child," 1868, Troyon's "Cliffs, Normandy Coast," a "River Scene by Corot, a Van Maroke, Henri Bellange, Berne-Bellecour, J. De Nittis, Jean Beraud, Ribera, Jose Villegas, Madrazo, Zamacois, Boldini, Alfred Stevens, Vibert, Detaille, and P J Clays.
He was married to Judith Moale of Baltimore. He was a member of the Union, Knickerbocker, and Metropolitan Clubs.
