Frederick Gibbs collection included work by, among others, Berne-Bellecour, Chase, Col, Corot, Criefeld, Desgoffe, Escosura, W. M. Grison, Goubie, Grolleron, Inness, Isabey, Jacque, Knaus, Meissonier, Piot, Roble, Vibert, Worms and Zamacois.
Gibbs produced an illustrated catalog of his collection which featured photographs of well-known artists at work. Photographs of Carl J Blenner, J. G. Brown, J. H. Dolph, James M. Hart, George Inness and Arthur Parton were included.
